Safer-I is an initiative dedicated to creating a safer digital environment for young women and marginalized communities in Nepal. As internet penetration grows, so do the risks of online harassment, phishing, and digital threats.
Our Vision
We believe in a digital world where everyone can participate safely and confidently. A space where one can express their views without any security risks, a space that values inclusivity while also providing an environment where you can express your unique individuality and finally a space that gives you access to the right information. The ‘I’ in ‘Safer-I’ stands for Internet, Information, Inclusivity and Individuality. Our work is primarily focused on crafting a safe, accessible, ethical and inclusive digital space for everyone through hands-on workshops, advocacy and social media awareness. We work by capacitating the main innovators of tech to build products that are inclusive of aspects like gender and accessibility.
