Voice of Women (VoW)

Leadership through digital storytelling.

Voice of Women (VoW)

Voice of Women (VoW) functions as a digital media laboratory that teaches women from diverse socio-economic background layers across Nepal to capture their own narratives. Traditional regional reporting networks frequently misrepresent or leave out local struggles; VoW fixes this by teaching women to run the modern tech production tools needed to control their own community stories.

The Technical Production Pipeline

Participants join full-day audio and video editing bootcamps. They learn to operate multi-track digital audio workstations (DAWs), fix field recordings, set up proper lighting with local gear, and use mobile-based editing tools. By training them on standard compression formats and cloud distribution networks, we give them the skills to manage an entire media asset production cycle independently.

Grassroots Media Distribution

The program results in high-quality, student-produced media projects, ranging from investigative audio podcasts tracking community resource access to short video features documenting regional traditions. These digital stories are hosted on major global streaming hubs, allowing local communities to speak directly to global audiences and advocate for real, structural change.
